Please, for the love of baba yaga, reduce or roll back protection times. You've shown youre not opposed to these mid round changes. Please, either reduce CLI protection, or reduce the castle loss protection time back to 15, or some other Non-24 number. The combination of CLI, 24H Loss protection, and castle passing, means its literally impossible to ever interact with a kingdom should the trading pair choose so. 'They could just do as they are now with less protection time' - yes, they could, but the cost of doing so begins to outweigh the protection afforded.
You've changed techs, youve changed KS, youve changed magic, please, just do something about the pervasive protection.
