In reading the new changes I have some thoughts as a veteran who has been around.
I feel I should speak my mind as I see this community shrinking if things stay the same.

First, can we learn from our mistakes and remove interprovincial attacking? Saurman and L19 should a shamed of themselves. This is not honourable play and is going to kill the player base, no matter HOW they spin it.

The province is supposed to be your team. Why are we not implementing changes to keep this mindset?

Lets elabourate.

Economy;
Stop interprovincial attacks
Tax the Market (10%)
Tax Outer provincial trades (25%)
Drop provinces to 5-6 KD's until community grows
Close Market during initial protection but allow interprovincial trades. If keeping it open, implement minimums to avoid outer provincial exploits.

Attacks;
Punish hits;
<60% Of KD size, -20 BAS, but normal attack
<50% with bonuses to defending army, minimal damage to defending army and heavy destruction of acquired buildings (80% of buildings destroyed, max of 40% defending army can be destroyed, 50% bonus attack to defending army),
<40% just cannot attack
Community is still too small to be doing what we are doing.

Honour;

Punish those going around the rules by making a Thardferr tribunal made of up of a representative from 7* ( Rough estimate) Provinces. Changes implemented by the Dev team after OPEN forum voting (and Dev approval if this can be done from a coding aspect).
These 7 could have a closed forum to decide on which issues to bring to the greater community and no decisions would be made that the general public would not be aware of and have a say in the post.
Your facebook groups shouldnt be used to vent who hit who. Nor discord or any other forum of communication outside of province.

WE HAVE TO LEAVE OUR OUTSIDE FRIENDSHIPS AT THAT, FRIENDS
NAPS are OK to have but NAPS should be avoidance of hitting others for provincial gains, no ALLIANCES where you are all sharing information. You just agree to not attack each other for a period of time. Maybe implement a NAP timer that prevents attacks between 2 Provinces for a weekly renewal that needs to be accepted by ALL province members. You can only have 1 NAP active at a time.

This seems like a difficult task but if this is not accomplished the game will crumble from the player base shrinking and not attracting new players who do not have their core group of allies/friends and just getting farmed.

CLI/Retals:
The best way to get around the CLI issue is to give 2 castles right out of protection or make your first castle Really cheap but I think 2 would be best. Someone mentioned about a reward/achievement system *Congrats you have begun the life of a Tharferrian, your population has been working in secret and crafted you a Castle".
Its that initial jump to 3 that really causes issues. Pre-tal retals should be done by province mates, not outside friends. This is where a tribunal comes in handy. People are watching so I know attacks happen, but retals are pretty obvious.

I will add more as it comes to mind but wanted to put this out there.
I want this game to continue and thrive, but going the way we are, it is going to go to shit..... We all have to work as a community to make this game dynamically better.
