Human Race Bonus

I know Humans do not need any additional help but in the Game Guide it states humans "Start with additional units."
Since the best strategy is to disband until 'X' hours of Protection should this be changed to something else, possibly more weapons (Light armor's)? I also do not believe they are given any more units then anyone else and if they are, its not a considerable difference to be really considered a 'bonus'.

Isn’t the bonus for humans that they are the most balanced race? Do they need anything “extra” at the beginning if they have that advantage throughout the entire round?

As a regular human guy. I agree with this. Extra units isn’t much of a bonus and now that all the other races get a bonus to production if they are in a single race province is seems even more lackluster. I still don’t think humans are as strong as people think but I guess this will be the round to see that. Should have went human. lol.

Like is the BAS bonus worth it? Is it working correctly?

AdinTheDark BAS might even be OP. It screwed me up on many, many tests just because I didn't get the numbers I was expecting - then remember/realize it was BAS affecting things. All I'll say is if you don't take care of BAS, it will take care of you (in a bad way lol).

Lord Thane I thought BAS capped between 25 and -10 back in the day. I heard people getting up to 30-40 BAS with the tech. Which seems a bit excessive to me

I was at 100 BAS before getting attacked near the end… but what does it actually do? Someone was saying it added maybe an extra 5% (max) to winning in your favour. Dunno

CyberPtra actually, it does a lot more than that. It affects how much damage your troops give, so you can have a bonus attack or a weaker attack.

People would be surprised to know how much it affects the battle. The limits were really needed lol

Upon looking at BAS closer, it really does seem quite OP as I suspected (in my battle tests, it was skewing results insanely)...

I added the caps in -10 to 25.

I have added defender BAS is doubled.

So. I had a defence with BAS 200 and firewall and 1:1 MC…. Seems pretty good…. Even though I was on quick retreat, lower by 50%, but the BAS was doubled. So I came out even-ish. (Except more chance to lose).

CyberPtra your BAS wasn't double, I just added that in for defenders today lol... But yes, that 100 BAS should have hugely helped murderize the attackers, practically nullifying the quick retreat on your side 😃

How do we know if the racial bonus is working? Seems like no effect to me about this so called racial bonus..
