Still a long ways to go before protection is up, work on growing economy. The last test rounds everyone came out of protection around 30-40 lands, so don't be afraid to grow.
Some things to keep in mind, you'll most likely want a lot of houses, like 3-4 per land. During test rounds everyone kept up 1:1 on markets to max out gold production, but that might not be necessary since the techs in test rounds were super fast and that's what everyone needed gold for - now building gold for techs won't be so important since they're slow, so you can relax on markets if you want other things in your build.
Medical centers got big buffs so you only need 1:1 to get max benefits of healing 20% of your troops in attack and defense, something to consider.
