I love the ideas around varying protection times. One thing I don’t think should ever happen is the attacker getting more protection than the defender.
I’ve had this scenario play out and it just doesn’t seem right.
Person A hits me, take land, I receive 20 hours.
I share the news across the pot distribution network that hey, small delay in delivery and Person A is the cause. Person A gets hit same tick and loses a castle. They got 15 hours of prot.
Flip side, I’ve been hit and had a castle taken off of me, 15 hours of protection and the attacker got 24. Immediately after my protection ends, I am hit again. My original assailant still has 9 hours of prot and I’ve been broken twice.
When you are in protection for a failed defense, production bonus based on the percentage of your overall army lost? I wouldn’t want someone getting a bonus if they sent their entire army at someone and then immediately sold the castle to someone else. But if my entire army is home and I lose 60%… (1:1 MCs to maximize troops available post fight) yeah a nice little bounce back mechanic while in that protection.
