May i know what is the percentage of the penalty if i bottomfeed 80% my Ks or 75% my ks, or 70% my ks? I mean how much percentage the troops will drop if i bottomfeed? Coz last time i bottomfeed 71% my KS, i lost 98% percent of my troops died. And knowing i have .80 per land of my MC. still few troops coming back after the hit.

KingLear i send 2k Shadow warrior, 3.9k rusher, 1.9k slother, 1.7k slinger, 1.9k axe thrower. Almost all my troops slaughtered. Impossible without penalty. So may i know how the penalty works?

KingLear I can't tell you the penalty but I can tell you the clear and obvious solution: stop bottomfeeding. All your problems will be solved.

my understanding is its tied to the % down youre hitting. so if you hit at 70% your troops do 70% damage and

Yes, it turns out BF is bad. Who knew? But here's a secret, if you hit someone your size, you do 100% damage! Shhh it's a secret though

Yep Doug has it right, the penalty is designed to equalize the combatants.

In practice it doesn't actually penalize the attacker that badly, from my observations.

For example, if the attacker sends 100k attack points against a defender who only has 50k defense, and say the defender is 80% KS, the attacker is still overpowering the defender by 30k more attack points, so the defender still gets overwhelmingly crushed/zeroed out.

That's why most of the reports we get are from defenders that complain the penalty wasn't harsh enough. While on the flip side, an attacker that sends a comparable/equal sized army against someone smaller will have more apparent losses. Which is how it would be without the paltry penalty as well.

The attacker can still win even if heavy losses, as long as they reach the win calc rules.

I can look at the detailed report later, but what I'm guessing happened is the orc lost heavy casualties in the ranged phase, and had bad luck for their shadow warriors in the melee roll so they failed to hide resulting in their extermination.

@KingLear If you take into account your armor upgrade and the units you lost, there was about 41k in defense. If we use your numbers and add in about 1.6k wolf masters, then you had about 49k def. I was dealing about 40k damage in the long range phase. after that, whatever survived did do more damage in attack than me. If we take your numbers (plus WM) and give them +3 blade damage, that's about 74.1k damage. After the BF penalty it's 52.6k damage. Now I had about 38k Defense. So whatever survived the long range phase, still did damage. And clearly it did enough to win. However, you do raise a good point, what does the penalty affect? If it affects your defense and range damage as well, you probably should have lost the attack since your defense would have been about 35k and my range damage was about 40k.

If this is the case.. then i will just wait for someone to attack me. At the moment i will just do farmville like what the other big kingdoms did. But im glad if you will upperfeed me. It’s a risky venture for an orc to ever attack a gnome. Orc weakness is long range. Gnome strength is long range. Bottom feeding a gnome is even worse. Hitting down 29% you had a decrease of 29% attack power and 29% increased casualties.

For every 1% my Kingdom Strength (KS) overshadows the defender’s frail might:

-1% curse upon my attack power, draining its potency.
+1% more of my wretched minions fall to the void.
