Well, they should make true sites.So that you can use mp for it. I don't know why any spell is not usable with mp for all except for race spastic spells.

there needs to be some spells that actually require wizards - in my opinion MP should be for economy based spells only. Take away the wizards and all casters are just MP factories, how boring

skigglez Its not worth it for a dwarf to run wizards. Have you tried to run those numbers and costs for it?
Just try to run 1 to 1 schools or even .5 to 1 its not worth it. If the cost for upkeep for dwarves was reduced somehow in later game *looks at @Lord Thane and in a cough says " in the Email." I could see some spells staying wizard based.

dwarf isn't supposed to run wizards though - they get built in magic resistance and their army is extremely strong to compensate for that. That's not reason enough to just completely eliminate wizard specific spells. Not all races should be able to do the same thing as the others - there needs to be variety

Okay but what about the multi guys? I got this Beast person casting truesight 85x a day only to never hit anyone. They run an army that's equivalent to someone 1/2 their size. Is this a functional multi or can I create my own casting elf on 'my wife's' phone too??

Haha i actually got TS’d by Beast today now that you mention it, and I'm in the top 5 currently. I don’t get why it’s ever possible to just bomb TS successfully on someone 5 times your KS. Just encourages low KS multis to do exactly what Beast is doing

I posted quite a while ago on GitHub that it seems like something is up with TS. It’s easier to TS someone than it is to cast GC or Bless.

skigglez each race is vulnerable to another. Each race should be able to run wizards for gate and ts and other useful spells. I'm not saying make it absolutely easy but as it stands now its not worth the cost of purchase and then upkeep. also i have not once had a true site fail on me. Not a single one. so much for that resistance. so dwarves shouldn't be able to true site but everyone else can cause they can afford wizards and army of equal or greater size? Everyone should be able to use ts and wizards. Im not saying that wizards should be as cheap as an elf or human but it shouldnt cost as much as it does. Maybe make it take more wizzards to cast a spell like 1 more wizards per land for each spell or something like that.

Yeah there needs to be some kind of reasonable limits to how high up you can go. In my opinion, anything above double the casters kingdom strength should have a zero percent success rate. Making the results less accurate accomplishes nothing, because it still shows 0 if they have no troops home, and that's what a bunch of the TS are looking to see.

Yeah I played dwarf a bunch of the round too and didn't notice the resistance either. I think if Dwarf was actually resistant to magic and bounced half of the TS cast it would make a big difference and wouldn't feel so bad. Interesting idea would be if you bounce a TS, you get a couple ticks of TS immunity. Or with MP they make a defensive spell you can cast that deflects one TS for a certain period of time. Would make MP more versatile and give the classes that can't run wizards a better way to combat magic.

skigglez well i think a true site is supposed to bounce if give you info about the other kingdom but since one has never failed I'm not sure.

This depends on just how bad they fail. Normally when people try to TS me I get a reflection (it's been a while but a few have tried this round). I don't know if there's a naturally occurring kingdom that can TS me. It sure does seem like, even against dwarves with their massive magic resistance, if the target has 0 schools you can succeed any TS with 2:1 wiz:land based on the caster's land.

Sometimes when bouncing they'll give the casters info, sometimes not.

trupheus that small wiz/land will get you 20% accuracy tho, pretty useless. At that level someone with 100 infantry will get reported with as little as 20 or high as 180 lol

Yes, though in many cases, a Truesight is primarily used as a 0 check rather than for detailed scouting.

Lord Thane what is the fail rate in game currently? Also how does the dwarven resistance actually stackup to defend against it and what does a caster have to do to overcome it exactly? As i stated ive not had one fail on me yet.
