CLI retaliation?

Unless im misreading the guide, you should be able to retaliate against a kingdom when you are under CLI if you have retaliation rights, and they took your castle. Ive tried this several times, but on attack I seem to lose protection. Did I misread it? If not, might I recommend incorporating it? Ive been hit by coordinated attacks regularly, so itd be nice to be able to have a chance at retaliation without leaving myself open to pound town.

Nothinhere if you win a castle in your retal then you'll gain cli protection. As long as they have 10 castles and you know you can break them you're guaranteed protection when you get your castle back. If they have under 10 castles, then you can still win and get your castle + cli, but you also run the risk of not winning a castle due to the chancified castles rule for the first 10 (20% chance to win castle if they have 2, 30% chance if they have 3, 40% at 4, etc), no castle = no cli.

If you retal and lose or only get land, then you'd have no protection.

Excuse me. CLI only works on 70% of your KS. Even if you have retal or in a normal attack. The Technology is misleading information.

Ah, i figured my immunity was CLI from losing a castle. Might I propose the same mechanic for whatever triggers the invasion immunity, that you can exercise your retaliation right without compromising your immunity protections. Makes 75%+ army invasions more risky, even for coordinated attacks.

So you’re suggesting to update this verbiage to include and the target is at least 70% your kingdom strength?

When you win a castle in battle and the target is at least 70% your kingdom strength, your kingdom gains 24 hours of Castle Loss Immunity (CLI). This applies whether the castle was taken in a regular attack or a retaliation.

Maybe its time to change the cli protection to when you win over 70% of your ks, you shall gain protection, even when you gain land. Its not really fair that when you hit someone, with 9 castles, you get the bad luck of gaining land, then be pretaled and retaled. We know it happened to everyone, but doesnt look fair to me, and i think many others agree. Maybe you should get some randomness in cli, like it can go from 10 to 24h.

Adamastor CLI randomness actually sounds super fresh. Maybe not for land hits, but for castle hits still. It adds way more flavor to the game. A range of idk 12-24 hours afforded would be really cool to play with. Id throw in there a small randomness in army return time (19-24?). Maybe too random for some players that prefer a more predictable game, but i think this would spicen up the war element a lot.

The entire point of CLI is to cover the retal period to prevent pre/re from being possible - if it's random there's no point in having it in the game at all. Delaying the pre/re doesn't accomplish anything and goes back to making it not beneficial to attack. There's tons of battles happening now with change ups in the top 30 constantly with CLI in the game. If you are changing the CLI windows you would need to match the retal windows or else we're back to the same shit that CLI was introduced to prevent.
