Possible bugged BR/GR

This one has been tickling my brain for the past day or so, and I can’t think of a good reason for it to happen so figured I’d post here to see is someone can make sense of it. This was a a GR from a retal defend…I’m confused specifically about the melee casualties I suffered because they exceeded 100% -

We suffered 18.8% of our casualties in Long Range.
We inflicted 9.9% of enemy casualties in Long Range.
We inflicted 15.5% of enemy casualties in Short Range.
We suffered 104.6% of our casualties in Melee.
We inflicted 90.9% of enemy casualties in Melee.
We inflicted 74.8% casualties on the attacking force.
Our defensive losses totaled 100% of our garrison.

Any thoughts on how this could happen?

I added a fix for that yesterday or the day before, it wasn't figuring healing factor correctly in the % calcs. You didn't exceed 100% casualties, that would be impossible, the calc used in the generals report just need to ignore the healing factor.

I had this attack today which seemed odd. Is this one of those few units left over things or did something happen with the healing to give me a win I should have lost?

We managed to kill : 692 Mage 768 Swordman 728 Lanceman 2 Caragous 374 Archer 976 Elite Archer

But we lost : 308 Mage 507 Swordman 507 Lanceman 470 Caragous 620 Archer 620 Elite Archer

Oh is this just saying 100% of the casualties happened in long range because that is the only thing that happened. I actually only lost 83%

Zown yeah this happens frequently for elf/gnome combatants, where there's enough long range firepower for both sides to wipe each other out in long range phase (or wipe out all melee units).

Although you weren't zeroed out, I've seen it actually happen a few times where both sides got zeroed out in long range, and the tie goes to the defender lol

Zown Yeah that's correct. 100% of your casualties were in long range, but your casualties only accounted for 83.3% of your attacking force.

Oh I see the weirdness. I thought the report showed post-healed values at the final percentage but it is showing pre-healed percentage. I sent 773 of each unit and got this returning:

So I dropped by 83%, but really I dropped closer to 85% units then healed back 20% and now I have 65% of my army returning. The final percentages might still be a little off when healing is involved.

Zown yep the general's report is pre-heal. It was easier to make it pre-heal, when I recycled my code from the attackers report over to the defenders report and ran into a heal conflict with my calcs, easier to switch it to pre-heal than make new calcs 🙂

Ok cool that makes sense it's pre-heal. I thought the change log said you made it account for healing. It threw me off when I saw almost half my army coming back but then saw those numbers.
