Test round changes?

Checked the changelog, nothing is listed. Looks like right now it’s just a clean DB. Is there anything different yet? Things to look forward to?

Change log says Undead Caragous base attack increased to 6. On the military page it still shows 4 so was the attack increased (J/C)

Yes the base stats for caragous was updated, just haven't updated documentation everywhere yet.

Best change of this round so far: half hour ticks. I think this game would benefit from this full time. You would want to extend protection to 15 hours though, for a defence. Rather than 15 ticks. 7.5 hours between defends is kinda sucky if you have work.

Xliest That's funny - I really hate the half hour ticks. I can't keep up with it! Different strokes for different folks I guess.

It might be fun to try it at double speed in a full round, with nothing else accelerated. As it stands it feels really fast. Maybe the first 120 ticks can be double speed?

I’d prefer to just see all productivity doubled and unit upkeep doubled with 1 hour ticks. I think that would fix the daaaaays of rebuild necessary when the real armies start marching out.

Also loving how fast we get techs right now but man is there a huge discrepancy in KS just from the path people choose to go. How is it a tech that takes 175 TP gives the same KS as one that takes 15? KS from techs should be a derivative of the cost.

trupheus yeah its funny how you can probably figure out the route everyone was taking on techs by the huge ks jumps the first day or 2 of this round lol. I jumped from WAYYY back into the top 10 at one point because I did all the cheap techs at once. then dropped out as everyone else did the same a few hours later.

Zones I went right into sharper blades tech. I wanted to beef up skeleton legion so they could be dangerous in the early game, and it seems to have worked really well.

I don't know what all the hubbub was about, Undead is so easy and fun to play. I just completely skip the caragous and the rest of their army is really good. The light armor tech buffs so many units, highly worth it.

Not having to carry farms and farm workers is SUCH a big help, makes it easy to load up on mines, mills, guard houses and homes, without feeling like it's stretched too thin. I sent out an attack and wallahhhh didn't have to worry about food going crazy. I think I have like 0.3:1 farms and am overproducing food easily with 4:1 homes. It's crazy.

If anything Undead might be OP, we'll see as the mini round progresses and I get heavier units produced to take over from skeletons.

Lord Thane I tried to tell people that it wasn't weak, sometimes at the expense of my sanity. It's basically human with more long range units, a fast training fodder unit, and no food.

I like the way tech is researched now instead of using gold it's just tp. Maybe you could make one of the buildings in a real round produce extra TP? Since we know that tp will be slow gains, well at least that's what I heard. Like maybe GT 1 to1 produce 1 tp per tick max.no more no less must be 1to1 to gain the extra TP.
