At some point it will display info on the scroll, like symbols indicating new private messages, new province messages, etc. And it will have a dedicated page with more features that won't show up in the popup version. Maybe some day it will replace the old message/forums features.
An option to hide it from preferences will be available, or to select certain pages for it to show on. It's high on the list, but there's more important features it still needs before getting that part setup.
