Something funky is going on with mages. I just got hit by a dwarf and took my retal the same tick. For the defense I was on QR and my retal I set it to infantry attack. Heres my defence first

I was on QR and 0.7:1 MC's and those losses look very lopsided. 7.2K vs 2K. But heres the one that makes me think Mages are bugged.

Strat was infantry attack, was thinking SM die like flies anyways so they might as well reduce my other losses. The question is how did this dwarf kill over 2k mages? Without my MC's he would have killed every single one I think. Arent mages supposed to not die in melee combat unless you are running EG? I highly doubt the dwarf left enough ranged at home to kill every mage and if he did why didnt he kill all my shitty tc units as well?
