trupheus that's why we made castle chancification, help people grow out of the starting point, now there's less chance to lose the castle in addition to the land (at least saves the castle time/expense). The reason we don't nerf it further is because it may tip the balance so that nobody wants to make any attacks, due to nothing to gain for the relatively huge military losses. Once people get 3-4 castles, they'll lose even less land, it's encouragement to continue building castles even though the risk of losing a castle increases. It's a careful balance between keeping attacking attractive and growth attractive, I think it's pretty well balanced at the moment.
