AdinTheDark there was mass support from the community for two items (instead of nerf humans buff other races, and give racial province buff), so this accomplished both those things.
Something like 90% of players are in Lithar, there was really no point to joining a racial province. Now there's a small bonus that makes sense in the context of the game, so we might see the return of racial provinces again, and more inter-provincial diplomacy.
The option to build a perfect province mix is still there, with a tiny nerf that's basically negligible.
