Still unable to explain why i should let the retals fall off. If you hit me, it’s my right to hit you. If you misjudged, i shall try not to. Just because you’re small you get to kill my troops and I should do nothing about it? Larger kd are larger as they are investing time and effort and to some extent strategy. Don’t penalise retals. Penalise offensives.

@TheKeeper please head the suggestions let’s balance the core of the game make it work make it useable for kingdoms both big and small. Then make the additions and changes to things that are cosmetic

I have done some modeling and and at 50k peons we are looking at 70k gold, at 100k peons 140k gold I dont think it is sustainable to move higher than 200 land based on my current calcs. There needs to be closed testing at all stages to make sure it all fits and where it starts to break we need to figure out why and to make it function again.

Retaliations are no longer affected by the bottom feeding penalties. Tested and it works good.

saadht One more thing.. You opinions are all good (minus the bottom feeding, we're trying to grow the game and stomping out casuals isn't gonna help. Take it as a badge of honor it took 4 people to break you) But adding those ideas to the bottom of a 50 post thread is a good way for people to miss/ignore your suggestions. Try to keep one subject per thread so the discussion can stay on point and it's easier for Thane and Keeper to pick out the key points with their AI witchcraft. Also, polls help a lot by getting a feel of what other people think who don't want to argue numbers

I have too many to say but i will shut-up for now about these new implementations.

Although i have one question: What stopped you at 50%? Why not allow all attacks based on "Attack Penalty Based on Strength Gap?"

Leo removing the 50% rule wasn't discussed, so why would it even be considered to randomly remove? It could be removed, sure, but it would need to be discussed.

Consider the fact that if you are 80% larger, regardless of how fair the "battle" is, the 80% larger kingdom can rebuild their loses....80% faster.....

A suggestion: If it is possible, as a temporary measure for bug testing, report the affected debuffs and casualities in BR due to these feautures. Maybe under certain conditions up-hitting causes to trigger these. We will not know for sure as we will not have the opposite side troop count each time.

Because, 1/2 rule was the first implementation against bottomfeeding. To my logic, reworking the counter measures for bottomfeeding means reworking the 1/2 rule. So, first thing popped in my mind was this being overlooked as with the new rules it stands redundant.

Leo I wonder what our code would do for someone hitting a kingdom with -150% gap. Maybe instead of losing land in their victory, they give land to the loser, and for casualties maybe some of their troops left in the garrison also die lol

How is it possible to have -150% gap? The defender has to be minus KS for that.

Example: My 10,000 KS legion strikes a 5,100 KS weakling (49% gap). I suffer -49% damage and +49% casualties—such is the price of hubris.

10,000 KS vs 10 KS (%99.9 GAP)

Lord Thane lol I see @Leo ’s point but 50% as a hard cut off makes sence rather than reduce gains and attack power and increase casualties past this point. I suggest that we leave the numbers fluid though as maybe there is an advantage to attacking at 50% still even with the increased risk it could be that we need to have a 1.25% damage reduction per % kingdom strength or maybe it only needs to be .75%reduction in gains per % of Ks difference to make it prohibitive enough…
