With MP being introduced I think it takes away from being an elf in some aspects. Magic is no longer a unique advantage to certain races in the same way if MP can be purchased. Use to, casters were a political and strategic advantage to wars. Maybe I havent wrapped my head around the total affects of MP being availabke in market to all kingdoms, but a elven self spell could help to set market rates and maintain some political standing for casters.

I suggest a spell that is similar to the old iron to gold spell, a way to generate income without expending resources. Maybe if the resources that were created with this spell went into an arcanum vault and could not be used in market or to send aid.

Something to help balance the amount of schools needed to cast (it seems wayyyy more difficult to maintain spells than rounds 3-9). With the need of markets for gold production actually working, that makes eleven builds a lot tougher to maintain.

Let's be honest, even with free iron to gold, elves were never absolute power house in strength.

I think elves get to produce MP at 2X the rate of anyone else, and then dwarf/orc get a nerf on production? I haven't tried making any, so I'm not sure what the economics on that side look like. But I know I want to buy more of it.

You can't cast even Truesight using MP. You can't cast Farseeing if you don't have the tech. Elves probably have a greater MP generation rate. MP giving elves an easier way to sell their magic. Already they are selling out spells if they are communicating. The whole point of MP was to make it easier for people who wants to trade spells.

And about the current i2gold, see who is buying all iron from the market @ almost all rates. I guess you just don't know how an elf can make use of that spell in its current design.

Elves might need some buff. But, i don't think that is on the magic side.

    Leo yeah, I've only been active for long enough to be out of initial protection for a couple days. Im Lothlorien in E7 if you have any insights in utilizing market as elf, feel free to drop a message. So far I've only been able to generate about 30gp per iron, but I havent scaled it to see if larger increments improve return.

        Sayer what does your magic potion generation look like? I'm thinking I'd be happy to pay 15-20 gp per MP, but IDK how much elves are generating at the moment. I hoped to get MP in the market today, but real life work got in the way - maybe put it in there tomorrow.

              TheKeeper yeah, I2G is a net loss. Only get 25-30gp per iron with it and it uses iron and wiz. So better off selling the iron in market.

              Using all my wiz would net 40k gold in MP at 20gp. Im having a hard time conceptualizing economy of scale as larger kingdoms purchase MP. Blessing gives what, a 10% bump in gold production? So blessing gives me about 50k in 12 hours. So probably not far off. Maybe elves shoukd just be able to cast I2G offensively lol
