Sinnywinks diplomacy, espionage, and war are interesting concepts I'm open to exploring. We've talked about it on the forums a bit and there's some fun ideas in there.
In other games when you have provincial war they still allow hits from outside, but the spoils are reduced and damaged increased for the interloper - that system worked good. Provinces would usually team up to teach people lessons when they interfered in a war too which is a fun dynamic. There'd be a war forum too so each side can talk shit to each other 😆
For espionage I had some ideas about having spies as a special unit, cost would be insane like 100k each. They'd work like wizards, needing "rest time" between missions, and instead of "casting" like a wizard they would do something like "running a mission". Missions could be interesting, like assassinste a enemy general which would basically just send them away as if they'd been on an attack, but it take like 100 ticks to return. Missions would have a chance of failure, causing the spy to get caught and your espionage attempt to be known to the enemy kingdom... We could do lots of fun stuff with this, like it can be a way for non-magic users to to get something like a True Sight via the spy, etc. Maybe have the spy poison food supplies or water wells to kill peasants.
Along the lines of these kind of features, I thought a bounty system would be a cool update to the Market too. Players could post jobs and bounty hunters could take them. The flow would go something like when a hunter takes a job - say "fireball 1k peasants of sinnywinks", then accepting the job would take you to the casting screen to make your attempt, depending how many peasants killed would get you that % share of the bounty. That example is basically already doable in the current market, using similar mechanics of filling an order (killing peasants lol), so it'd be pretty easy to implement. Other kinds of jobs could be attack based, though I'm not quite sure how the billing on that would work - maybe something like the fireball scenario but instead it would be "kill army units", maybe we'd make a specific type of attack for bounties that only killed troops (no spoils).
We have plenty of time to talk about these kind of ideas and vote on them if they're things people would be interested in seeing. I think we wouldn't be able to implement these kind of huge features until maybe round 2 or 3 at the earliest.
