A thought on how to improve CLI:
- The defending kingdom gets protection that is equal in time to CLI
- The defending kingdom gets CLI for the retaliation
- Retals give retals
This would cause a 1v1 where the two players enter a warring state. The same effects of CLI occur, no pres and retals, but it doesn't punish the defending kingdom.
Currently the way I see it, the defending kingdom gets crushed.
Other possible change to help:
Attacking kingdoms smaller than you has a percent chance of gaining castle
100% kingdom (same size) or larger has a 100% chance of winning castle on victory
90% kingdom has 50% chance to win castle
80% kingdom has 40% chance to win castle
70% kingdom has 30% chance to win castle
60% kingdom has 20% chance to win castle
50% kingdom has 10% chance to win castle
This should greatly disincentivize bottom feeding, and even makes castle passing extremely risky.
