skigglez sorry to say it, but I don't think this stunt moved the needle about nerfing magic.
Adding the new rule today that FB/EQ removes protection from the caster is a good step, but don't see any other major changes for now.
I mean look at Trupheus's kingdom, he was top-30, and now a day or so later is barely top-60. That's the glass part of becoming a glass cannon. And with the new protection breaking status of using FB/EQ it's even more dangerous for a caster to do that. It was basically suicide, but I think Trupheus knew that and just wanted to have fun with it, and it was a fun spectacle for sure.
Realistically though, we can't nerf magic just because one person ran a completely non-sensical and unsustainable build of pure magic, pushing the boundaries of what was possible... It was a fun stunt, but that's all it is, it's not a viable strategy to win. Maybe for an alliance to take down one of the top kingdoms in a coordinated effort, but other than that it's just a glass cannon waiting to get cracked.
