What’s the point of having a 3 month round if you put all of these items into the game on the last week? Sure it’s “fun” for some, but why have such a long round when you make the last week a clown fiesta that makes the final result not a representation of the previous 2+ months? Just do shorter rounds with different rules if you want complete chaos.

Mixed bag for me.

Cora’s - Nothin like finding out oh shit you have shadow hall. But the flip side is oh shit I have shadow hall. Really it makes me wish shadow hall was viable for elf. Because it’s not when all of your mages get cut in half for attack damage on a spell you can only cast once a day with a 12 hour duration.
Double training speed - great if you have the armory. Otherwise it’s a waste. Also, man it would be so much more fun to double resource production, train rate, forging, and upkeep.
Prot stone… cool for in a pinch. Although finding out it was 12 hours this was a surprise even though it says 24.
Show protection… cool quicker decisions
Oh yay another general…. Just what I didn’t need.
Vial could be useful for some but not really for me.

Lord Thane do you see the issue with introducing so much power into the game on the final week? Erases most of the previous 2 months of gameplay with all the randomness of shadow halls and makes suicides so much easier when they can all reload an extra time from an item. If it’s quirky fun we’re after, then do shorter rounds. Just seems like putting all of this into the game last minute is disconnected from the rest of the round. Can’t be the only one who feels this way

skigglez idk, I haven't looked at this week's item yet. I spent today working on the new support messaging system.

Some people said the item gave a protection stone that only gave 12 hrs of protection instead of the 24 the old one did, so I'm guessing it's weaker versions of old items?

trupheus it's the power introduced into the game so late in the round that makes no sense. Having that many shadowhalls available to be cast on others is such an insane advantage for the larger groups, especially when there's so many smaller kingdoms willing to sacrifice their last week to see the top group fall. They had all round to unseat the top kingdoms - what's the point of playing a 3 month round when that many tools get added to shake things up at the very end? Just do random number generator for final placements if that's what we're going for.

There’s still a lot of strategy and coordination going on. What’s happening is nothing new. What is happening has been brought up on this forum before. Alliance gets on top, holds it for a while, another alliance forms to start tearing them down 1 by 1. The biggest kingdoms feed the smaller kingdoms to try to keep them afloat. Tale as old as Thardferr.

What is different is that there are ways to hit someone with enough to do significant damage and have full army home while in protection to bounce the retal. I like how someone had literally 0 troops yesterday. Great strategy to break a big orc. Old days it wouldn’t have been possible.

They’re scummy tactics and I don’t like using them. But they do work.

Not sure what scummy tactics you’re referring too? Or are you talking about your castle passing technique with your groupies?

1) Cyber full sends someone 50% his size
2) Truph attacks Cyber for 24 hour CLI
3) Cyber breaks pro and gates
4) Cyber retals Truph with a 5 unit send for his CLI

End result, Truph and Cyber get 24 hours in pro and kingdom that got hit has no chance with Cybers full army at home.

It’s a good strategy, allows you to build an army to take down a larger kingdom. But it’s got to be one of the greasiest tactics I’ve ever seen.

Unfortunately, it’s probably going to force us to do the same thing.

Iceman all because we got tired of allowing Truph to exist with us in the top 5. Two hits by half our armies and he was drawing up that hiding strategy quick LOL. Gotta rally the cult groupies against us too - how dare we attack their cult leader.
