Vesuvan yeah the testing rounds were basically 2-3X per week players complaining about getting pre-re or castle passed on. We lost a proportionally enormous number of unhappy players in the test rounds due to this. Hence, we made a change to combat the toxic strategies that were driving people away.
It seems a player base of 100-200 players is not enough for 2-3 alliances to run their brainless pre-re/castle-pass strategy. The players not doing that get fed on, then leave, because continuing to play in that atmosphere is pointless.
Before we made the change, the small player base was actually shrinking. Now with cli, it's stable and growing again.
The alliance players can cry all day, the fact is they're wrong and have no logical argument against cli other than "I can't win without being able to 2v1 a solo player".
Anyways, I've had enough of humoring the loudmouths that went to cry about it. Fact is, we're building a game that can be welcoming to new players. If we have to shed some toxic fat in the process that's fine by me, there's plenty of other games they can go be toxic in, and Thardferr will go on fine without them.
