Clarification on EQ Protection

Does the protection you get from doing 10% of someone's buildings impacted by the KS of the kingdom you are doing it to? If not, is that not a loophole that can be abused to maintain permanent protection by EQing much smaller or inactive kingdoms? I would expect it to follow the same rules as attacking to gain protection - under 70% and you get none.

2 kingdoms in S8 dropped about 5k KS this morning without losing any land, and no other kingdoms had dropped KS, so they weren't attacked. Very suspicious, and if it is someone exploiting the EQ protection can we just put an end to it before it becomes an issue?

skigglez idk if that idea works out. Lose 10-15% of buildings, get few hours protection.

Depends how low the targets can be that you can destroy 10% buildings on. No different than Beast - he dedicated his round to staying low KS to cast TS for his squad. It’s the person doing the EQ’s that gets the benefit. The others enabling it won’t grow, but they must not care if they’re playing along. My guess is it’s a certain someone that likes to explore loopholes, and it lines up with me hearing he’s been in protection for a while without gaining any land/castles.

skigglez yeah, 70% ks rule would be good for that. If they're casting against their allies, not sure it's anything that needs changed because I don't think that works out economically, and not hurting anyone in any way.

skigglez Not true, I wanted to grow stronger but too many attackers from T11 and L3. 🙃

I'm having super unlucky to get castles from my attacks. Always on lands while my enemies were always getting castle. Hihihi

That’s the issue - you can’t ensure he’s only casting on allies. I don’t know the scaling on spells now to understand if this is a potential issue, but it would be interesting to see what happened to those 2 kingdoms this morning

Lord Thane maybe u can adjust also the kingdom casting offensive spells cant cast on kingdom more than 50% of his/her ks?

Lyn I think the 70% ks rule is good for the protection removal for the caster, and we're talking about a couple other alternatives too - not specifically blocking, but something else that's fair for both sides. Keeper is going to tweak his code for this soon to help ease the protection abuse.

Lord Thane what i mean lower ks casting higher kingdom.. u should atlst put retriction.. a lower ks cant cast offensive spells above 50% or a kingdom ks that if he retals on the caster he cant get cli hahaha

Lyn there's no restrictions on ks when you make a retal, you can get cli too.

Lyn If they were above 70% of your ks then you should have gotten CLI. If you didn't, then there's an issue

This is why I suggested casting off spells only possible if you are 70-75% KS of the target and it is not possible to cast below 50%.
Taking retal on a caster is useless because you are not getting CLI and you are expose to either his multi or his friends and to others.
A smaller Kingdom can cast to a higher Kingdom with an enough amount of Wiz and that is pretty stupid.
