Ok so I get that this is allowed this round and heck I did it myself but this was just abuse. I hit an elf, he spent 20 hours making mages and EA as an elf, and I get retalled by a human with army converted to knights? If they needed armory this would never be possible.

Just like vacation mode is not possible if a general is out, race change should not be possible if you have a retal on you or you have a retal on somebody.

But yeah hitting someone and then switching to a different race shouldn’t be possible while they have that retal out.

The irony of a guy who has changed races this round complaining about someone changing race makes me chuckle.

I do understand the idea of the wildcard that is the race change making what you thought was a relatively safe hit suddenly not safe anymore. Realllllly hope next round is no race change. Want to change? Reset your kingdom. Provinces are one thing, moving to get in a different prov with other people is good. Changing races changes the battlefield.

trupheus I was thinking more like making it an option in Preferences, and you lose half of everything in your kingdom - buildings, troops, land, techs. Not quite as harsh as resetting, but still a big FU.

If many players object to race swapping, it should be removed. Let players reset their accounts and begin anew instead. 🤩🤩🤩

Or create an item at kingdom creation that grants you technology day credits. This way, if players have to reset, they can still catch up to the current tech level everyone is at. It would also benefit late starters or those who delete and want to return.
