Trying to send Aid

I have not played since the early 2000s and trying to get my bearings again. I tried to send 250 wood to my ally, however I got a message saying the feeble amount would not be sent. What is the minimum amount of resource that I can send?

*** I should point out I checked the game guide and could not find this info

Sightless00 just a side bite to Cora’s response, it doesn’t have to be 1001 of the same resource, just 1001 total units of resources…so you could send 500 wood, 400 iron, and 101 food and that would satisfy the 1001 requirement.
