Lord Thane in regard to "it's a tactic enabled by cli", how would that scenario have been different without cli? Just talon wouldn't have protection from his castle pass, or something more?
Hit the nail on the head.
Talan hitting gives him and Foot protection whereas before the retal not giving retal and CLI changes, Foot's retaliation against the smaller players would give them a retal back (weapon to be used later) and he would either in a weakened state. You might have had multiple people hit you, but you couldn't take all the retals because you'd be overexposing yourself to risk. Retals on retals removed removes that risk. and CLI makes it so you can easily find a friend to put you and them in prot in 1 hit. Unchecked growth.
skigglez Sorry if I came across as contradictory, that was not the intent. This is a strategy, nothing more, nothing less. There's no malice. Honestly, I like seeing Talan's rise after getting beat on while he was an elf.
You lean a lot on well everyone does it. It was easier for your group to do from the start because you were split between multiple provinces. That doesn't make it good or bad, it's just a tactic. No inside province attacking is forcing provinces to work between each other.
Yes, sadly sometimes you just have to do what you have to in order to survive.
And put some 'spec on my boy Jets who full sent it to feel something one last time before he went to the store and never came back.
