skigglez less fighting?? No, more fighting it is. Cause like now big ks is hard to find a target if the cli is 90% already. I didnt say chnge it frm the start of a round. Chnge it when atlst 1mnth b4 end of round. More ifghting less cli.. less castle passing.. right now.. someone tried to kill one of big kd in top 10. But wasnt able to kill him why? After or b4 his oop he already castle pass.. with coordination its hard to kill that.. but if cli adjst today. U can get cli 90% only. So its hard to castle pass.. but nevermind tired lolz..

Thoughts on CLI

Good
I like that I can make a successful attack each evening and then just check to add more troops and armory a couple times during the day. I feel like I don't have to babysit the game continuously. Like that part.

Bad
The part that I don't like is that everyone is always in protection. lol

3 nights ago, I tried to attack 10 players. all in protection. only other players between 70% and 110% of my KS that I did not try were my province or our 1 allied province. So rather than attack someone and lose, get pre and retal, I tried out vacation mode for a few day break.

I would like to point out that I actually did bring up the unfairness I saw in CLI as the winning attacker! I spent over 2 weeks in perpetual CLI testing a theory: if I only hit a target who was almost exactly at the 70% threshold, with just the right amount of troops to win (found a pretty accurate way to calculate this), that I would also successfully defend leaving the original defender essentially helpless. I only failed to defend once while doing this (credit to Adin for finding me through the fog)….all I could think of after 2 weeks of this was “wow, CLI is super unfair to the defending kingdom!” But I play within the parameters of the game, so if that’s how Thane and Keeper want Thardferr to be now, then that’s how I’ll play.

Vesuvan wow, I thought everyone was in protection all the time and there aren't any open targets. But you found a plump target near 70% KS who wasn't in protection, every single day for 14+ days in a row. You got to teach us how to find targets 🙂

Lord Thane It really wasn’t hard at the time….I took screenshots of the of the KHOF every hour, except when sleeping of course, then when I was within the last 5-6 hours of pro I started checking the castle/land history of anyone near my 70% range. As soon as I find one i know is OOP I break pro to attack….this started my mantra of “never be OOP!” Alternatively, I just attack the same target from the day before because I know exactly when their pro ends! Unfortunately (for me), the rest of the players started catching on to this and doing the same thing…so now, yeah, it really is quite difficult to find a target who’s OOP. Alas, my BF spree is over, now I hit above my weight and have gone back to trading castles and land because it’s almost impossible to defend when hitting a larger target.

Side note: I used my first stool yesterday to try finding someone OOP, in all of the top 45 KD’s only 5 were OOP at the time, including 3 at the very top of the KHOF…so it definitely can be a challenge to find one sometimes.

Vesuvan That is interesting, you were able to pull that off. I wasn't doing the whole recording thing, but I was trying to attack and reset CLI in the same way, but I couldn't find consistent targets every day. The other issue I ran into was running out of gold. Rebuilding my army every day was pretty costly, and I had to rely on the market to keep it going. Even with that said, I could only run about .7 GH, anything more and I couldn't fill within 24 hours. I almost always got attacked the second my protection ended and had to run 1:1 MCs so I could mostly win my retals. Even that wasn't consistent. What race were you playing?

Finally!! A round full of protection and if you oversleep or busy at work and did not manage to attack for another CLI your screwed has ended!

Zown I was playing human…and to be fair my GH usually were not full by the time I had to attack again, but I was running 1-1.2:1. I mostly had my gold situation figured out at that point using MP for 24/7 blessing, always having 1:1 markets, and running 3.2+ houses, but still had to rely heavily on the market for enough iron to pull it off. Definitely kept 1:1 MC at all times as well. I felt like my economy was always running extremely lean and the smallest mistakes were very costly 😂

One attack to stay in CLI 24/7 worked pretty well. until the day when I tried 10 or 11 kingdoms. all in protection. Tried every kingdom not allied with between 70% and 100% of my KS. Then got hit before I could find a target and got totally wiped out. getting troops built back up to nearly full barracks proved very difficult.
