I do think shieldbearers have a bug. They seem to take double damage/more casualties then you would expect from the amount of damage they should receive.

yeah I know they have 50% less defense in melee or something like that, but I'm seeing more like 100% extra damage in the full battle taken to just the shieldbearers. The few dwarfs I've attacked seem to lose way more than I expected. All the other units damage seems to be correct. With or without the strategy I can't account for how many SB die.

It might be because damage allocation is just making them soak up more damage.

Zones If they are 2x your size they get no CLI protection. If you can't take your retal, at least build up for 14-18 hour of protection and hit someone 70-100% your size to get 24 hours of CLI protection (assuming you have completed the research). Generally not everyone will take their retal, and you stay in protection so you don't get hit again. And you should gradually grow as long as you don't fail your attacks.

Magnum Mark after the attack I was 26k and he was 81k. literally could not respond, he hit me 3 days in a row, killing everything I rebuilt every single time.

Zones I didn't say you had to take the retal. at lower KS, they can be way stronger after the attack. Less noticable as you get bigger. percentage wise, you lose less of your kingdom.

If you don't ever attack and take a castle from someone, you will not grow. If you are in 24 hour CLI protection, the guy can't hit you over and over.

Zones Less ATC units, and more TC. Also this late in the round there may be a large tech imbalance, not sure what you guys have for techs but if he's been around all round and you haven't it's gonna be lopsided.

Techs currently only give 1k ks per tech completed, but that can completely skew power ratios for early vs late joiners. Hopefully next round military techs will just scale the ks given per unit and make it a more level playing field.

FriendsInSpace I dont think making techs balanced in with kingdoms starting late is the play. Just give people tech credit if they start late enough. Something to get them 25% of the total possible research time through that point in the round.

Sure, but that still doesn't solve the issues between fully teched elf archers vs fully teched human archers.

Humans outclass elves KS for ks at full techs. And elves are supposed to be the ranged race.

It's not the only unit that has this issue either. Techs being a flat 1000ks unbalances the shit out of everything.
