Zown it's just because ai isn't smart enough to see big pictures. They can't analyze buildings, magic, military, armory, races, techs, strats, and everything else all at once to see how they all interact and affect each other. It's like its assertion that armory is useless because the items are such a small portion of unit costs, totally ignoring the strategic value they have as limiting factors for even being able to build, how the forges affect build ratios, how the pop requirement to run them affects economy, how the weapons require more dedicated resources for iron/wood/etc, and then how those requirements further affect things down those lines.
So when an AI says something is OP, I wouldn't hardly pay it any attention at all, it's far too dumb to be able to make that kind of claim. That's not even counting hallucinations where it will fabricate rules or numbers just to fit its agenda lol
