TheKeeper negating crimerate is the big thing. when youre 25 castles+ thats a huge amount. maybe a gnome dwarf tech, which i hate as im writing it. but thats a huge buff that 2 races dont get.

It’s a god blessing. Each race has a god right? Except maybe undead. Just need an accessible way for all races. Maybe remove GB and put a racial spell/buff after the first racial upgrade.

Perhaps change out wizards, put in clerics, get rid of schools, make them monasteries, or something like that, and make them cheaper

What if troops could be traded in the market? It would be interesting to see human/dwarf/orc/gnome/undead integrated into other races' armies, such as having human soldiers in an Elven military. 🫣🫣🫣

Are we actually giving gate to Dwarf and Gnome? Why are we heading in the direction of shoring up every races weaknesses by adding even more systems to the game? If that's what we're doing, isn't it just easier to let MP cast them and save the work of coding it out? Why should every race be able to access all of the things that other races can? That's what makes the game interesting - when the different races play differently.

Also - adding new shit takes away time to actually test out the current systems. We were finding bugs even towards the end of the last round.

Can someone remind me what the point of elves is again?

If we are giving gnomes/dwarf access to gate without wiz, and everyone else is whining about everybody should get god blessing, then there is no point to the elven race. Their military is ass, and the only economic advantage they had over any other race the lot of you are whining that everyone should get it.

I don't think that gate/godblessing should be accessible to other races except via wizards. Allowing gnome/dwarf to cast it with units they build anyways is not great for balance imo. Especially considering (at least in the current form of techs, maybe keepers changes will change this) that every other race has to undergo a solid 200+ hours of techs to get gate, whereas gnomes and dwarves can have it at 175? Also, the other races have to run a whole separate unit type that is useless in combat, but the two "magic weak" races will be able to cast it with units they already are building. Silly.

While I am on a complaining streak, can we figure out something better for the eleven racial tech? Ice storm and shadowhall are a joke.

FriendsInSpace Also makes the dwarf and gnome racial techs massively more impactful than the other races. What about the fringe races like Orc and Undead where running magic isn't impossible but difficult. They just get punished by not getting the benefit of these changes but also by having to invest a significant amount to get gate/GB through the use of wizards. Would we then give them a system to compensate for that? It'll be a never ending stream of new systems to balance the other systems and keep the races all in balance.

FriendsInSpace it wouldn't take 175 hours. You would have to get the spell techs PLUS the racial so it would actually take longer.

skigglez We also got Gate able to cast by dwarfs with MP last round, and the new Gate spell is somehow gimped against original Gate

I agree with @skigglez and @FriendsInSpace even with the tech time being the same, training wizards take so long…

Cora Training time and just the upkeep involved in maintaining them. And having to sacrifice land for schools to be able to do any of it in the first place, ruining the economy and military capability even more.
