⚔️Mini Round mayhem (recap):
For the last two weeks we ran a Fun Mini Round with an epic special event that rained down ridiculous mayhem. Markets spiked, supply carts burst at the seams, and a few kingdoms discovered what happens when you strap experimental artifacts to perfectly good soldiers. Raids got faster, defenses got tricksy, and someone definitely sold their cousin for a pair of magical trousers. It was chaos. It was glorious.

⚔️When gods go to war:
Chaos strode in laughing, flipping ledgers and lighting rulebooks on fire. Revenge followed with a quiet smile and a very sharp quill. Debts were called, oaths weighed, and the battlefield turned the color of old coin. Their clash unlocked new lore for Thardferr, catch up here:

AdinTheDark I was thinking about the live chat service I'm working on, maybe integrate push notifications into it so players can ping each other to get attention on important things (ping would go to phone, even if the player isn't on thardferr). What else would be useful as a full replacement for discord?

trupheus Custom group chats is definitely on the list, along with private messages, and province/world chat. I don't know if I could do a voice chat - I see there's some options for open source libraries/APIs I could possibly integrate, just never played with those before. Maybe in a version 3 or 4 I could look into it, after more of the base functionality that's much simpler is out of the way... That actually sounds fun as hell, imagine a game-wide voice chat room, everyone blabbering at once lol

Are we going to get a full change list before start?

Personally I’d like to see a reason to group in a province other than racial bonus. I know we want to keep the racial provinces like they are but this promotes groups just spreading out in racial.

AdinTheDark I think everything is up to date in the changelog, that will have record of any major changes that would affect the round, like the CLI cooldown hitting <70%, the tech change to use TP, new spells, etc. Might be a few more changes plopped down before the start, like I know for sure I'll have some tweaks in Market to cut down on use of peasants exchange as a place to temp park peasants.

The downside of 30 minute ticks was it doubled speed and getting hit right after going to bed sucked. Wake up with 6 ticks of prot left.

The upside of the game going faster though I really enjoyed. Getting armies up and running faster after attacking/defending. The Revenge/Chaos timeline would have taken twice as long waiting for the Agents to retrain after each sacrifice. It really makes me think that instead of 30 minute ticks, double training, blacksmithing, resource output, and unit upkeep is a solid step in the right direction.

Tech times were beautiful but waaaaay too fast. It really showed the imbalance of KS given by techs. I think they should be re-evaluated based on the time commitment required. 1TP = 10KS is an early thought. I remember an idea floating around about military techs affecting the KS given by the unit rather than giving a flat amount to the kingdom. Which is a really solid idea. Why would a kingdom be stronger if they have SB3 but only RT and Cats?

trupheus I think Keeper is working hard to try wrangling the new tech tree idea out the door, not sure if it will make it though. I'm working on chat stuff. Don't think anything much more major will go down.

Not only was the ticks faster, but also tech was given at 10X normal speed as well (so 20X speed compared to regular). No idea how it will look in a regular round, but guessing it won't be very noticeable.

Switching some of the techs to unit-based like that is possibly a good idea, it would just take a lot more time to investigate/test and implement - not sure when we might be able to make that kind of change, but it's on my list of things to look into more closely.

Cora hah, that'd be fun, sure! We could even put an AI bot in the regular chat if anyone wanted to talk to them. Maybe we'll have a special word to summon them, ThardBot.

Lord Thane Are apostrophes not allowed in kingdom names? I tried and it kept telling me I was attempting to use a character that wasn’t allowed…removed it and then I could register. Seems to be ok in leader names though?
