Improvements Needed for Gnome/dwarf Racial Gate (as the change has not been tested yet)

We’re gathering community feedback to address balance concerns for Gnome racial gates compared to other races. Please review the details below and share your vote or suggestions.

❗ Issues Reported
Gnome catapults are extremely expensive compared to Dwarves and other races and with much greater losses ratio.

The gating efficiency doesn’t scale well with cost—3480 gold for 20 units is far less efficient than Dwarves (925 gold for 10) or Wizards (300 gold for 3).

High wood/iron/gold requirements may discourage players from looking at the racial gate as a viable option.

Adding to this the racial gate only can gate using the units at home: so if you want to gate you would need to leave Shieldbearers and catapults at home. Or will be impossible to gate otherwise.

Suggestions:

Racial gate to utilise the units at home and away to Gate, rather than just the units at home.
Reduce Gnome Catapult Cost – Lower gold to 2000 and/or wood to 150.
Increase Gating Capacity – Raise from 20 to 50 units per catapult.
Introduce a Cheaper Gate Unit – A smaller gnome siege engine that gates.

This was talked about somewhere. The current max of 25% for racial gate is just too high. Imagine a perfect gnome fight where your fodder dies like it should with minimal losses to your insanely expensive war machines. You Kaboom! Home and lose 25% of your war machines. Hard pass. Not worth the risk. That’s why I suggested a curve so 5% was your average but 25% was possible, and 0 losses possible just as rarely as 25%.

Also, if racial gate functions like Mage only spells then it’s just never worth it because no matter how many you select to cast they “…don't cast like wizards, they can only cast one spell at a time as a group.” So all of your catapults are operating at half power. Never worth it.

@TheKeeper, you had the greatest intent here to balance the races. But you just cannot gate. If you send your Catapults out as you need to as gnome. Then you cannot gate as they will not be available to gate, if you do take the risk to attack and keep them home so you can gate the losses will just be too much to worth it. In this instance it becomes obsolete. I would suggest to make it viable/ workable or remove all together as great idea as it is, currently could be misleading. And maybe look at other option for balancing.
