If this was the long con...and a real round, disband the troops immediately. Just having that armory is amazing and obviously the population gain. Just something you'd never need to worry about for the rest of the round.

It's one of the reasons I needed to restart my account. I had made it to first place and I knew I had an unfair advantage, my armory. (The population fix, yeah knew I was one of the firsts to report that, they never died off, made a post and everything, just didn't want to mention the armory just yet. That's just something you couldn't catch up on, even with an uncle touchy money and food tribute. Pissed everyone off and then a 3 prov alliance had to take us down, that's when the resources showed up again.

So this time, with a brand new kingdom, level playing field, another glitch, where when I sent out my armies, they would arrive home immediately, but a new deployed army would exist 22 hrs away. Logically, I quickly attacked for a second time, yes it was verified, a new army is created 22 hours out and I have a full army. As any other sensible person would do, attack again and see if luck is on our side. Sure as shit. I lost the attack but my army was full and at home with 7 generals remaining...And there you have it. The second time I broke the game I hit first place and attacked all the top players because who cares if they attack back. I had 5 armies (64K troops) returning home in 21 hours. And that's how in 15 minutes I went from 150k KS to 400k KS while everyone I hit, win or loss, dropped down.

That's when everyone got super pissed, made a bunch of posts about how unfair it was to be given 300k army.. first off. I worked hard to exploit a bug I discovered! And to single handedly destroy the top 5 kingdoms, then grow 250k KS and increase my army to 96k units in 15 minutes without anyone noticing. I earned that shit by looking for bugs in the weirdest places.

Also, 2, Thank you. That was so much fun, it felt like some real 007 shit. I whole heartedly had a great time playing Thardferr with y'all. I look forward to waging war with y'all in beta. Just think, Thardferr is going to get big and we did it together!

    Everyone did a lot of good work getting us to this point. I'm sorry so many people took a lot of things personally when the round was meant to be crazy. Realistically, we should have just set everyone off with massive supply from the get-go so people would understand - this is a testing round.

    Maybe we should have had a closed test round. But, I think we were all just caught up in the excitement to get started.

    It's a brand new game too. That's worth noting because it's not like TheKeeper had a bunch of source code from old Thard or anything. It was all built from the ground up with screenshots of game screens and copies of the game guide on archive.org, and shoddy old man memories.

    Shoot just a few months ago I randomly checked on the Thard domain like I do every few years, and went ahead and fired off an email to the owner hoping it would make its way there. I just wanted to buy the domain so I could develop a new Thardferr on my own. But, I eventually got a response back from Carlos and we hit it off recounting the glory days we had. I told him my plans, and he had the same idea - and as luck would have it we are both developers 💪

    The game has progressed beautifully, and we're so close to a first real round with no bugs or exploits, it will be great. I'll turn 42 on June 4th, and hoping we'll be in the thick of our first real round by then.

    I just hope everyone has a good time, and maybe we can keep this old game going for a while 🥰

    Speaking of. I had some funny thoughts during all this dev. Wondering if we'll eventually close Thard again in however many years... Will we all come back as 60 year olds to rebuild and play again? And then do it again 20 years after that? So funny to think about. We're all hurling through time, meeting up every couple decades now to reconnect with each other, in comradery and in spite. Feelsbadman to wonder how many players aren't with us anymore. This is like a reunion for Thardferr.

I've been listening to Jets bitch about missing Thardferr for.. so many years 😂🤣 I always wondered, what happened to Abakar and Gen Shadow? Can't believe they just let it go.. Thanks again for bringing it back. This has been great

              Lord Thane @TheKeeper Man I assumed you guys had the old code. This is nutty you built it from scratch. All the more impressive and you two deserve all out thanks. It has some bugs sure, but from my perspective, this is mostly the same game we left all those years ago

                  It’s a beta so who cares, but exploiting bugs instead of sharing what was going on to get it fixed had a cascading effect that essentially ended beta testing early, and is pretty crummy in general

                    Leo I think TheKeeper tried reaching out to old owners, but they seemed to have all abandoned their online presences, or just aren't responding, or can't find them.

                    The old code would likely take 10X as long to work with anyways, the technology used to build it is long obsolete.

                      I could find out if you want. I can contact Jimbobway and he has worked with or spoken to Gen Shadow after. I used to know his name and found him on LinkedIn.

                          Brozee I'm sorry. Next time I find a bug and want to verify that it's real, I'll consult with you first! I got a head of myself validating my findings and then messaging the devs without alerting the population to a bug.

                            Damn Yahoo changed something this year and deleted all my old folders, ones I had setup to store all my old Thardferr convos, now I can't find any of them. We're still missing my old buddy Farooq - needs to get his paki ass in here. I saw he posted on the Reddit like 3 years ago. Can't hardly remember all my other allies n buddies, RIP.

                              Jules Well, we have now a complete game, and as Thane said, taking the old one would take at least 10x time, but only for curiosity, I'll love to see the original code

                                        saadht yeah I don't remember his full name, and my Yahoo is fucked, can't find any old emails. I think they must have done some old email cleanup on there this year to save space. I don't even use Yahoo anymore, but I keep it around for spam signups lol. Sucks too because it was just last year I was perusing old emails on there.
