Protection literally just fucking ended, how have you been able to determine you don’t love the round?
CLI
skigglez go away, the grown ups are talking

Ya heaven forbid someone point out the absurdity of your comments. You guys are something else haha
That’s been the same shit every round man, at least now if i hit for a castle i don’t lose 2 guaranteed because i don’t have 30 friends playing the game. You might enjoy that, but i don’t. And if the idea is to grow the game and get new players, the pre-re play style has to go. Nobody new will stick around, but maybe that’s what you pathetic losers want.
LadyKaeleer I think the CLI poll had a better turnout than a presidential election, that's pretty good lol
The small player base is part of the problem too. There's less opportunity for players to form new friendships or for alliances to even exist. A new player will make their first attack, then get pre-re'd and never login again. I like to think things like CLI will be good for growing the player base as it makes the warfare less stressful when you're not already part of a group.
We already lost a lot of players from the test rounds who were fed up with the battle mechanics as they were. If we didn't change something, I doubt Thardferr would last until a 2nd round.
We'll keep adjusting things, eventually get a good balance where things are fun. Not the romanticized version of Thardferr from our youth, but some new kind of fun. That's the hope anyways.
skigglez when you can speak to us without resorting to name-calling, you can have a seat with the adults. Now, it's past your bedtime. Run along.
Lord Thane I dont know, my first enemy became my first new Thardferr friend @trupheus, you son of a gun, you're not so bad, but we had fun that first test

Does CLI really voted or manipulated?
Been reading all the post and I only see 1 person who is posting/defending CLI @skigglez .
Was this really voted by Thardferr players or probably manipulated and voted by outside not even a player or playing thardferr. I'm just curious. It's easy to create an account and then vote. I can invite my FB friends ask for help to vote. God I even beg my wife to vote and play again and be a caster again. Sadly she declined. Ended saying being a caster is useless now. I bet you guys still know her, she even casting you all way back Call To Arms.
So who voted CLI here. There are 27 votes.
Who are you? Reply on my post and Drop your KD Name please.
Lord Thane wow
LadyKaeleer
Stop calling me names is not the “adult” take you think it is, grow up snowflake
xiAo-Shin Star I think that adjustments are in order. Obviously a castle pass happened and/or good strategy. I'm sure given a few more days a better balance will come to light. My initial reaction is also, wow (da fuk just happened), but also...how different this is from before. Which is what the comments were that begun the change request....make attacking first great again. On the scale of things, technically we got what was being asked for.... however, it does appear that a better balance is being required. At least an immediate adjustment was made for those who take retaliation will now receive cli.
Break break
At some point. I feel as though when I want to attack everyone will be under protection...because we took a very small player base and doubled the kingdoms under protection....but I dont know that as fact, so for now I'm just going to watch and see what happens.
Good news, everything is reversible. I think we just need to speak logically rather than emotionally, come with ideas of solutions rather than pure disagreement.
On the subject, I firmly believe that a defending kingdom should get more protection than an attacking kingdom. The attacking kingdom likely grew and took the chance for that growth and should be more vulnerable than a kingdom that was hit. I also believe that an attacking kingdom some have a moral boost off of a win....so protection is a nice way to display that... But I disagree that both situations should be created equal. Do I have a solution? No...an idea I am thinking is. 18-hr protection for cli and 24-hr protection for castle loss. That gives a 6 hour time frame of potential pre re, but also those 18 hours will make the pre hurt. I also believe that this idea creates other issues that will cause disgruntling among the masses. At least with transport your army will have returned and it gives you an even bigger opportunity to save yourself for those 6 hours remaining from retaliation.
For now. I just ponder the ideas that could make the game fun. Right now, I'm more surprised at at what just happened and it changed my strategy immediately.
Lord Thane that was the point of the “modify” choice of the pole. To not totally undermine what is in essence not the worst idea but needed work. Instead your rage deleted it belittled me and created a mess of a thread where people can’t explain why they may have voted “modify” which I assume would have won.
Short sighted fool… However the votes turned out it wouldn’t have forced you to change anything it would have gave you more data.
Might as well remove poles from the forum. Should we take that to a vote as well Fuhrer?
I agree on this. I even suggested for a buff or a boost for the defender who got Bfed. Because in reality, how the heck will the defender win shit to higher KS. Not even in my imagination it will happen. I'm not against CLi, it's just that it is losing the point of the game where war is fun with helping hands to win.
Rennoc nein, I've had enough polls.
Anyways, we got a positive outcome in the updated retal rule, so at least something good came of it.
Now we're thinking of another idea = ability to turn off CLI via a tech. Then players that want to have pre-re and castle passing can do that with other players that research the tech.
