I like the thought of just starting with either 2 castles or we all start with 45 land. Everything else is standard but you don't have to do any exploring for the first 45

You can be hit with bad luck twice.

Lose a castle on defend… and fail to regain on retal
Did not gain castle on attack (maybe land), get retaled and lose castle….

CyberPtra I didn't add any special logic for retals, so those would follow whatever the natural path is/was. Yes, it is possible someone will have really bad luck and lose a castle and only get land on a retal.

Lord Thane a lot of people enjoy starting from the ground up and deciding how they will grow into castles, etc. If we can think of ways of improving the growing pains without removing the option of choice, then that's much preferred.

Let people “roll” their kingdom and choose where X amount of supplies of buildings will go?

Lord Thane Maybe not the best place for this but can you please look into the amount of buildings destroyed when winning a battle?
Last attack I did was 22 lands with 99 max build. Might as well just farm land.

Mack10 the code for 10-30% destruction looks good. I think what you experienced is the defender had a lot of unbuilt land, and you got your share of that included in your buildings spoils.

I don’t remember the end of the original thardferr well. Do you? How small was the player base when dad left to get milk and never came back?

@Lord Thane Hi sire, since we implemented this, I hope it doesn't affect the retals. I can see that it is prone to abuse, as 70% of KS KDs will likely gank higher KS KDs, leaving them with no chance to fight back due to the caps on castle gain.

King Haybol it is universal, unaffected by retal status. It could be a problem, solution is to not hit below 70% so you stay safe. The probabilistic castles affects everyone currently, so it's fair - we all face the same chance, it depends on your roll (when you attack, you roll a 100 sided dice, hope for good luck).

Lord Thane I just want to highlight that higher KS KDs tend to have a greater number of castles, which directly impacts on the castle gain percentage. This makes them more susceptible to ganking. 😅😅😅

Now add in random cli protection times for castle gains and it could be a wild fun time.
