CyberPtra I didn't add any special logic for retals, so those would follow whatever the natural path is/was. Yes, it is possible someone will have really bad luck and lose a castle and only get land on a retal.

Last attack I did was 22 lands with 99 max build. Might as well just farm land.
Xliest no. It feels like old thardferr. And like "old thardferr", without changes to bring new stuff and people, this one will have the same fate. No game is made of 30 to 40 people playing, unless its a friends game.
Mack10 the code for 10-30% destruction looks good. I think what you experienced is the defender had a lot of unbuilt land, and you got your share of that included in your buildings spoils.
I donβt remember the end of the original thardferr well. Do you? How small was the player base when dad left to get milk and never came back?

@Lord Thane Hi sire, since we implemented this, I hope it doesn't affect the retals. I can see that it is prone to abuse, as 70% of KS KDs will likely gank higher KS KDs, leaving them with no chance to fight back due to the caps on castle gain.
King Haybol it is universal, unaffected by retal status. It could be a problem, solution is to not hit below 70% so you stay safe. The probabilistic castles affects everyone currently, so it's fair - we all face the same chance, it depends on your roll (when you attack, you roll a 100 sided dice, hope for good luck).
Lord Thane I just want to highlight that higher KS KDs tend to have a greater number of castles, which directly impacts on the castle gain percentage. This makes them more susceptible to ganking.
King Haybol that's a good point, for sure. Luckily those are also some of the most skilled players, I have no doubt they will easily be able to adjust their strategy to stay on top
Now add in random cli protection times for castle gains and it could be a wild fun time.
Lord Thane When it comes to retaliation, linking castle gains to the enemy's number of castles is a poor approach. Apology for my negative wordings.

King Haybol sorry friend, I think we really needed this. It's unfortunate we didn't implement it sooner so people could be better prepared, but better late than never.
We will all adjust to the new conditions, and it will be funner for everyone. Soon you will have more people you can target to attack I'm sure, because everyone will start building castles now
skigglez FYI, All my castles were captured from my enemies. I would be at 9 castles today if one of my Bfeed attempt had succeeded; unfortunately, they ganked me immediately on the same tick when it failed. Lol.
