Jets I tried audiobooks and I just can't stand it. It's like watching a movie with my eyes shut, just can't stand it.

I don't have a lot of time to read for fun, mostly stick to industry news, technical articles, things to keep me updated with trends in my business. So when I do read I like to feel the book, smell the pages, tone out the world - it's like a relaxation time. DCC smelled really really good, like 9/10 on my book smell meter 😂

Lord Thane you gotta listen to it on 1.2-1.4 speed. Also. I drive a decent amount so it helps when traveling.

I drive around playing ding ding ditch all day so audiobooks are for me for the most part. This has been my strongest year with 32 books so far. I also have books at home I read so normally reading more than one book at a time in you include audio lol and I’m at the library or used bookstore a couple times a month. I reread the wheel of time series last year and this year I’m listening to it while I work.

Recently got into litrpg books and I really enjoyed DCC some of the writing can be a little tedious with a lot of repetitive information as filler but over all not a bad genre.

I read The Blacktongue Theif a couple weeks ago and that’s a really good pretty book you don’t have to invest into a whole series

AdinTheDark people keep saying Wheel Of Time, is that another really good one I should try?

I'm pretty hopeful I won't get bored of DCC. I'm pretty dang hooked right now. I asked my buddy if he read it before and he said he got distracted halfway through book 5 and never went back, oye.

AdinTheDark have you read the Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks? It’s one of my favorite series.

It’s a classic at this point. Robert Jordan passed away before he finished it but Brandon Sanderson took over the series and did. I enjoyed it a lot and still reread it every few years. A lot of old Thardferr players took their names from those books. You’ll recognize it if you read them lol.

Lord Thane wheel of time is great. Can be slow and can be repetitive since you can binge then vs them coming out every couple of years.

If you can dedicate the time. I highly recommend.

Then of course Brandon Sanderson....he's so dreamy.

Lord Thane I’m so glad you’re enjoying it! I’m on the 3rd book now (audiobook for me) and they are on the 4th floor. This would make an awesome movie! 😁

Early on when I was on the 10th chapter or so I got a feeling that they were going to do me dirty and leave me hanging - I said "am I really going to have to read 7 books to get conclusion on this story?!", now it sounds like that is the case. Sigh, 6 books to go to find out how it ends 😅

Cora The Night Angel Trilogy are great! his other one, the Lightbringer Series, is very high on my list. they were all fantastic

TheGodlyGenius I haven’t read the Lightbringer series yet. I tried starting The Black Prism, but just couldn’t get into it. It didn’t have the same flow that his other series did. Do you think it’s better than Night Angel Trilogy? If so, I might have to try it again.

Cora it takes a little bit to get moving, but I absolutely love the magic system. I ended up REALLY enjoying the whole series.
