Lord Thane what is the fail rate in game currently? Also how does the dwarven resistance actually stackup to defend against it and what does a caster have to do to overcome it exactly? As i stated ive not had one fail on me yet.

You have no schools good sir, they're almost certainly going to succeed. Before my second round of EQs on skigglez popped up schools and wiz. He bounced a TS when I tried using 2:1. So it doesn't take much to stop it, it's just annoying to have to devote a little bit of resources to stopping it.

Blahblah the resistance isn't like a % chance to fail like I think a lot of people mistakenly think, it's more like it raises the threshold to succeed. So it's always possible to succeed if the caster has enough schools/wiz. Casting on a human the threshold might be like 100 points, the caster just needs to generate 101 points to succeed. For a race with 40% resistance the caster would just need to generate 140 points of casting power to succeed.

When I'm browsing the logs I do notice the TSes, their success rates vary wildly from day to day. A few days ago I saw about 20 failures and 1 success on the page of logs I was reviewing. It's usually pretty balanced between them though.

Lord Thane lol im guessing the pinos and singaporians aren't casting on those high failed rate days. @trupheus so basicly a dwarf will always get true sited since running schools and wizards is not maintainable with a decent army to defend and attack. It sucks.
initial cost is 500gold per wizard then its 10/4 to maintain.
best cast rate is 1 to 1 schools and 7.5 full teched elven wizards so im guessing dwarven would be the same.
so we will go with 200 land .
1500 wizards
initial cost is 750k gold
gold per hr is 15k
food per hr is 6k
talk about a cost.
gnome is close 50 less gold on initial buy and 1 less food per hr upkeep.
All other races are half or lower for upkeep per hr and almost half in initial buy.
I think the hr upkeep needs to drop a bit. but maybe it atlest is something to look closer at.

xiAo-Shin Star i like that but it would be to easy to just stock mp and sit on them. perhaps there could be a time frame use period where you designate mp for def against spells say 12 hrs time and then at the end of those 12 hrs they disappear as in used up. @Lord Thane . Theres an idea.

It seems like this thread has gone off the rails and is now focusing on spell casting….can we get an update on the multi situation? I personally hate the fact that I may be playing with multi’s regardless of where they are located, and would love some resolution on this matter.

Vesuvan Please take a direct look into Beast. The amount of useless TS casted is egregious and insulting. Who's paying for these TS? And if they're not receiving compensation for the TS, why are they casting them?

So what happened with this?

Blahblah I reached out to the two main suspects, and also messaged the multi account. No reply back from the multi (probably wouldn't get a reply until the owner sees this post, or they next login for resource dumps).

The two culprits both pretty much said the same thing, kind of a scripted response = they both thought it was an admin sending them aid, they both are adamant the IPs won't match (which of course they wouldn't), they both refuse to go on the forum and see the post of evidence. User-50 ignored all my questions, like the "strange facts" and just reiterated that it was someone else, etc. User-50 mentioned to "look at his messages" as a defense, which was expected as the initial alibi for the setup. User-19 says user-50 is too dumb to hide his ip, but they're also best friends IRL, so their responses would be expected to be scripted as they admitted to talking about the situation.

Since user-19 wouldn't confess, it seems user-50 should be the fall guy as the main benefactor and most evidence stacked against him.

I'm gonna run their responses through AI tomorrow for psycho analysis lol

Lord Thane Kinda weird to think that a admin would just send you aid for no reason and no words about it. Shit i got that 3600 wood and messaged you guys right away and sent it back. lol Turns out it was a thank you gift from another player for a hit i did on someone. I didn't even know i helped them. Wish they would have sent the aid back after that. lol
So what are the possible punishments for this? Kingdom deletion, Production throttling, suspension, or No cli protection for a week?

Blahblah yeah, doesn't make any sense. User-50 tried claiming he did reach out to admins about it as a defense as well - but that was only after I started mentioning multis in the forum - and the multi sent a message to admins at the same time "totally spontaneously".

It should be excommunicado, but we'll talk about it and figure it out... Maybe the community can dish out some vigilante justice once we drop the names of everyone involved lol

Now that Oobekr/Warlord were officially given a warning, the next time will be off with their nuts. Although I doubt they'll have this issue come up again - whether they were the multi or not.

I would also mention that this isn't the first multi engagement performed, there's been a few others. Sometimes we'll handle them through email, sometimes through in-game messaging. This one was uniquely brought to the forum to try get a confession - which did help a lot since L19 worked diligently to try uncovering who the multi was. Ultimately, I feel this punishment is good enough, as we don't lose real players from too harsh a punishment, and they know they're obligated to self-report suspicious activity (or risk being labeled a multi) going forward.
