Round end?

Any idea on round end? I vaguely remember something like 3 months being thrown around before but that could just be a figment of my imagination.

I would love it to be 3 months. Would like to play a race that has a real kick to it rather than showing up with a wet paper bag to a knife fight where someone brought a gun.

Most of the people in my group are ready for a new round now. Getting stale/boring, would love a new round with CLI and food tech baseline

Seeing as how something like 90% of the active player base has CLI because it is just essential given the current state, probably go back to just having it be standard across the board. Imagine the same thing for thanes food etiquette. Unless we get a completely reworked tech web with the ability to respec.

Also a next round idea, no more of these race changes. Commit to something or restart.

Ya race change available - full restart. Or cap it at like a week after the kingdom leaves initial protection. After that the only way to change races is to restart the kingdom completely. Doing it mid to late round is just stupid.

I’d love to always start as orc and switch out after.
Their bonuses are awesome in pro.

We should probably just get rid of race change all together

Yeah if there’s any race change allowed the best play is to start orc, get established, then switch to their desired race. Some people might think that’s straight OOP. I personally think it’s further on than that.

Another thing that’s pretty clearly highlighted is that if your friend group/alliance is going to play more than one race the best thing is to just pick different provinces to get around the Lithar nerf, get your racial buff, and be able to hit each other for protection when things go sideways.

Yah the race changes really screwed over ranged players. All there targets were gone and replaced with races that directly counter them lol

Yeah that's the path that everyone will take, and the late round race swaps forces the people that you counter swap on to swap to your counter. It's just silly. IF they want to keep around the full round race swap it should simply wipe all tech progress, that's the only way that I can think of it being even remotely fair. You could do it early and not be punished, but doing it late to counter someone you're fighting would come at a huge cost.

Changing during initial protection would be ok for new players? I think I would be ok with that, but anything beyond that and I'm probably in the same boat - I'll pass on next round

Second thought just scrap it altogether. Or if it’s something they think needs to be there, you lose all weapons, military, and techs when you swap.

Yup - there needs to be stability once the round actually starts. People swapping races and bouncing between provinces is just bad

I think you all forgot there would be blood sacrifices involved in this. If my memory serves me, it will burn 50% of all resources, and the military will be completely zeroed, including any units in training queues.😎😎😎

that's not big enough of a penalty - has to be severe like all techs reset to zero, or not at all. You can fill your GH in a couple of days, but losing weeks or more of tech time would make the choice to race swap much more meaningful.

King Haybol % of tech time. If changed pretty early, what impact is a week of research time? Do a % of tech and it will really make you consider waiting for another round instead.

Cora It could be a queued positive tick, plus gold. This means if someone wants to research tech, that research time will be added on top of the existing tech's research time. 🧐🧐🧐
