trupheus Coordinating castle passes results in losses of some sort, be that buildings during the land transfer or military when timings get messed up. Same with gunning for constant CLI, theres a military cost to it.

With vacation mode, especially using it late game, sacrificing 3 days of production isn't a whole lot if your in constant war. I was 200k higher 3 days ago than I am now, should I have enabled vacation mode (Keep in mind I didn't have any protection for a couple weeks, barring a day or two here or there) and waited for you guys to make your move, then pop out as soon as someone failed a hit and sniped? I imagine if I had done just that, there would be more people bringing up how it can be abused.

Vacation mode is bugged anyways...

I started vacation mode Tuesday. Pulled up Thardferr today (coming up on 3 days) as it is Friday. I was already out of protection and the game claimed I had used up all 10 days (240 hours) of vacation mode.

Sure glad I checked today and didn't wait the other 7 days.

Magnum Mark I believe they disabled vacation mode for the last week of the round.

what is wrong with spending the last days in vacation mode if we had plans to not be playing the game. Terminate vacation mode and beat us down with no notice? I feel some communication about round end should have been provided.

When I logged onto the forum here to report what I thought was a Vacation Mode bug is the first I knew about the round ending... I saw a post about round end and had to read through 100 replies to see if it said when the round was ending.

Just my opinion, the end of rounds should be announced in game or an email to the email address we signed up with. not have to follow the separate forum or not know until you can't log in.

not mad, just voicing my opinion. Happy last couple days of bashing each other.

Magnum Mark yeah I don’t see why the last week is any different than the rest of the round for vacation mode. If you’re on vacation you’re on vacation, why be punished for it randomly occurring on the last week?

@Lord Thane @TheKeeper please check your in game messages. Protection was removed in error from a member of our group over night allowing them to get zeroed. The only acceptable remedy for that error is full restoration of the losses incurred by both attacks done to the kingdom (castles/land/military). We do not care if the attackers lose what they gained, because they didn't know that those attacks were enabled by Keeper erroneously removing protection.

@Lord Thane @TheKeeper So just to be clear and so the community is aware how you handle mistakes made by the devs - you offered zero compensation to the kingdom impacted by you removing their CLI protection randomly and causing them to lose 2/3 of their KS (200k KS). The explanation offered was that restoring things is hard - that's a really fucking horrendous way to handle one of the devs fucking something up and ruining the round for someone when there's 6 days left. You have the BRs, you can see exactly what was lost - why can't you restore it? Thane was able to give himself wizards to nuke Trupheus no problem. It wasn't a bug, it wasn't a mistake the player made, it was YOUR mistake.

We still.discusing what to do or not, wasn't our mistake at all when the X player asked Thane and me to do the same thing.

skigglez just to be extra clear, they got exactly what they asked for when they asked 2 devs to do the same thing. Instead of being impatient and messaging multiple devs for help, they should have been respectful of our time and only asked one of us for help - or at the very least messaged the other dev to let them know they didn't need help anymore.

We don't talk to each other about every single support message we get, that would be a ridiculous waste of time, so of course Keeper had no way of knowing their kingdom had already been fixed.

It's not a dev screw up, it's bad communication from the player that got them in this situation.

TheKeeper you removing someone’s CLI protection wasn’t your mistake? Who’s fault was it then? They messaged both devs 2 days ago about the vacation mode protection bug (980 hours of initial protection), Thane fixed it immediately, and then you removed their CLI protection (less than 24 hours) without checking anything. Was it the players fault for messaging both devs? How can you not just acknowledge the mistake and restore what they lost?

This does give me a good idea for a new feature. I'm going to build in a support system so people can submit a ticket in-game. Then at least there will only be 1 support request per issue.

Then I'll have to put a popup warning for messages sent to an admins kingdom "are you sure you want to send this message? Messaging admin players with support related requests will incur a 1 million gold fee" lol

It seems you think this is funny. But if you can’t tell by all the forum posts, the people that do play this game are passionate about it. This game is a commitment and takes a huge investment of all our time. I think maybe you should try and look at it from the other side. I’m sorry, but devs 100% made a mistake. It shouldn’t be that big of deal to fix it and move on, everyone makes mistakes. Your response to these kind of things will drive this game into the ground.

Iceman and the origin of the person's original messages to the devs was due to a bug with vacation mode. Putting the onus on the players to make sure the devs don't fix things twice is ridiculous. There's a big difference between 900+ hours of initial protection and less than 24 hours of CLI protection with active retals against the kingdom. At the very least apologize to the person - their round is effectively over because they dared to message both devs? Sorry but that's just an insane way to deal with this situation.

Iceman it's not funny when devs time is wasted, hence there will be a support system built in.

Keeper agreed we could restore the troops lost, but removing the retal so as not to create an unfair advantage since the attacker that killed the troops isn't getting their troops restored. Those lost troops should be loaded back in to the player's account by now.

Lord Thane Why do the troops get restored but not the land and castles taken? And what about the 2 retals that were taken as a result of the attack by Munch? Why wouldn't those troops be restored? Those retals were enabled by the attack from Munch. And you remove the retal from Munch to be fair? Like what happened to Brocket was fair?

skigglez it's doubtful everyone could be made happy with any outcome in these type of situations, I think this is a good middle ground.

Lord Thane What do you mean everyone? There was one victim here - and you gave them back a fraction of what was lost. 3 other kingdoms benefited from this mistake - and the one actual victim is the one who gets punished. The original attack shouldn't have been possible, and both retals taken wouldn't have been possible without the original attack happening. So why treat them as separate incidents - it all stems from that first hit from Munch that never should have been possible. Why would you need to find middle ground in this situation? Just restore what that kingdom lost as a result of the mistake - if you can restore the troops why can't you give back the castles and buildings? It truly makes no sense.
