Yea even that is an ok change, I honestly would love to see the gold formula you have now, it’s gotta be something crazy like .5 gold per peasant + 250 gold per market + .1 gold per half peasant per market… just makes no sence why it would be this way, just give peons a tax rate. And have markets increase that amount. Way Easter to code too.

The issue is not the amount of gold you get or have @Lord Thane we could hone the amount of gold per peasant down so we get the same amount… its the fact that you are forced to build markets at 1:1 if you want to make more than 4k gold at any stage of the game.

Xliest I don't think the formula is anywhere near that complicated at the moment. Based on my initial mini test I think every race is getting a set base level, maybe the same base level. Then gp production only changes when you get markets. Then the markets only increase at 1/10th gp per peon per 1:10 market to land. So once you reach 1:1 markets, then you're getting 1gp per peon + whatever your base amount is, minus crime. Pretty simple as it is.

Lord Thane i personally like the idea of a set amount per pez and a % increase based on markets. i just had my income drop by 12% just by exploring land this last tick.

One of the reason your gp per peon drops is that the initial base 2500 gets diluted the bigger you get.

The difference between this version of the game and previous ones is that gold per peasant is a function of market ratio rather than total markets. Previously, total markets increased your total gold production, up to a maximum of 1:1 markets per land.

Honestly, I feel things are fine as long as you understand them and they are the same for everyone.

saadht so just gives us 9 acres per land and max markets. the drop in production is crazy. i explore land overnight and i lose how much gold production, while gaining pop. i lost 12% in one tick. now i have to only explore when i can rebuild the markets post tick? how does this make sense?

The way I've been counteracting this is creating 3-4 markets extra before going to sleep, and then when I find land, it balances out.

You just have to change strategies.

Keeper already posted gold production formula

For 0 crime rate:

Market Multiplier = [Market / Land] + [(Castle x 0.02]
Gold Income = Population x Market Multiplier + 2500

That is why market / land ratio is very important and gold income affected after exploring empty land.

Leo Leo this formula does not equate to what I was getting in my kingdom. It’s lower by approx 2k initially then is lower by up to 4k when you don’t have 1:1 markets

What the formula says, 2.02x2547+2500=7645 my actual income 4995
More recently pop=4177 should give 10937g actual income 6692.

Market over 1:1 land is useless (as in the game guide and old thardferr). It will still count as 1. So there is no way to reach a multiplier of 2.02

(1.02 x 2547) + 2500 = 5098
Your income 4995 .. (due to 1 crime rate)

Leo right i got it work but the formula you gave is 1 <market to land>+ 1+castlesx.02 which is 2.02 the actual formula would be just market/land +castlesx.02

Dwarf gold and wood production seems to have dropped. Especially gold. Anyone else notice this?

Blahblah I haven't looked at the code yet, but I'm thinking everyone is getting the same gold.

It's been pretty good for me as a dwarf. Already completed 3 techs, which were major gold dumps - keeping up with the Joneses since everyone is in a mad dash for tech it seems.

I have a sneaky suspicion the reason people are exploring like crazy is to get higher market counts for gold prod... I've been building out all my land before exploring a tiny bit, then built it all out again - not wanting to get land fat. But that made me the lowest amount of land in the top 30, and even the lowest amount of land in the top 50. Which made me think everyone is getting fat on markets and houses lol

I'm on full war build now though. Tech progression will slow down for me, but when protection ends I think the top30 will be plump with lands and tiny armies.

Lord Thane I guess some people just got 4 techs instead of 3 big ones. Hence the KS difference.

I've added gold production per tick for peasants. It's a small modest change, in the hopes of not altering game balance too much.
