Here's an actually logical argument against CLI:
You like attacking, and you like having lots of targets to attack. You don't want CLI preventing you from making an attack - even though CLI is designed to prevent pre-re/castle-pass, it still gets in your way as a solo player. You're not pre-re or castle-passing anyone, but by chance you may attack someone who just gained a castle or you may attack someone who is just about to be retaliated. You aren't actually coordinating to castle pass or pretal, it just functionally looks that way by chance, and you don't want your target environment limited by CLI that will prevent you from making those hits.
This is a perfectly reasonable argument against CLI, even though this hypothetical player would benefit from CLI, they may prefer having a more target rich environment over having a fairer playing field (though they may change their mind after they get gangbanged out of the game later).
