The increased production is really important to making the war game more fun and filled with more fighting, in my opinion. But there is a caveat.
The Problem: Building up an army and attacking takes too much time and is too big of a risk to lose the whole army and have to restart. At many points in the game it's not worth it and slows down the game and the fighting.
The Solution: Make building armies faster so that more attacks can be done.
Issues to watch out for: Building an army still needs to matter and take some time, and there has to be a feeling of loss if you lose it. But it should not feel like the end of your game if your army is wiped. Rebuilding an army needs to have a nice balance where you can fill up you GHs with the cheaper units fast so that you can make retals and multiple attacks, but not so fast that being hit means nothing.
How To make it work:
We can't just increase all productions across the board. We need to increase unit production through TCs ATCs and Forges, this makes building armies faster.
We need to increase resource production, Gold, Iron, and Wood. This compensates for the increased unit production
We need to NOT increase food production, and/or increase unit upkeep costs. This will prevent players from being able to simply max GH to Land ratios and create the same problems that we have with massive armies being wiped and it feeling too costly to replace.
The goal here is to make it feel like wars are fun because we can all attack multiple times and be attacked multiple times without having the dread of needing to rebuild for such a long time that you're out of the fights.
As always, let me know your thoughts!
