You could look at what's transpired today as an argument for or against CLI depending on which side your on. My elf defector friend Talan is reaping the benefit of the 4 hits on Foot. Foot has taken every retal; and when he got to the people that were too small to give CLI, he'd make the hit and then Talan would put Foot back in protection. You're killing the armies of would be attackers and helping your alliance to grow. It's just a tactic enabled by CLI. Now Talan has 24 hours of CLI and Foot has 15-20 hours of protection with no fear of being hit because he the hits he made were retals.

Overall, the alliance is up 5 castles. That's playing Thardferr like a team sport. Not hating on it at all, just stating what's happened. It's like watching the old Patriots play football. I hate it, but at least appreciate the sport enough to recognize the achievement.
