Thecatman how long have you been playing? Provinces are the original alliances, your neighbors, your FRIENDS.

Thecatman maybe not to you, random person ive never heard of. but when i first joined the game, thats how i met people. and became friends with, worked with.

Lord Thane yes it is fun, unfortunately it seems the few alliances ruined that fun for the majority of un-allied players who wished for the tactic to end.

the game is built around grouping up with your province.
i dont agree with massive alliances. but if i wanted to 1v1 people id just play a pve game

DougEfresh it's not about making a 1v1, it's about preventing 2v1 being the only way to win. Having 1v1s is just a fun side effect, but it would be a lot funner I think if we had retals give retals - I would love to get in a slugfest like that.

Anyways, I'm gonna implement retals give CLI now - so it will at least give defenders more confidence to fight for their castle.

Me and my friends have been playing since the early 2000's. We played thardferr then CTA and tried strife but didn't like it. We are a small group of 4-6 depending on who is playing that round. That's why we know from first hand experience how bad the old system is.

Rennoc and? If we didn't have CLI it would be no different, he would have just passed a castle back to his friends to get protection. CLI made no difference, other than a few hours of inconsequential protection.

A few hours of extra protection for 6 guys playing feeder kingdoms doesn't negate the positive benefit the majority of players get from actually playing the game with CLI.

Lol you guys in your incestuous little circle jerk are so toxic for this game. Its kind of sad really

saying CLI promotes BFing even more with less chance of repercussion, which it obviously does, is toxic?
        cool cool cool

        @TheKeeper

That being said. I’m also in a small prov, I did decent oop and am for now still high on the HOF, I can do nothing to help my smaller prov mates but say “don’t worry I’ll speak up I’ll try to help”. #4 in the game and I can’t hit or do a pre for my prov. So what does that leave me with? Calling for sense here and all I get is being talked down to by the dev, being called names by the dev, being attacked saying I can’t think? Really inviting.

If I was thinking I would have abused it right oop but we chose not to.

Where did the pole go? I was very decent and respectful when starting this post and included a “modify” option and asked for constructive criticism kind of hinting at the modify option not just the axe it option.

Thane if you can’t work with people without listening and thinking before you go rage mode maybe you should rethink your involvement.

As for asking for specific examples. That’s what the comments in this thread are for, if you want me or anyone to post our brs right here for everyone in a “real” round maybe you should rethink how “real” this round is.

        Again I’ll be fine bud.

Lord Thane my castle may not get passed, but they can break pro, hit again, and continue to outgrow the reach of the kingdoms with retal rights.
The KD that hit me is now sitting with 4 castles. How am I ever supposed to grow fast enough to get my castle back with only 15 hours protection and 24 hours for retal? Please, explain it to me like I am 5, because I'm seriously at a loss as to how to recover from this and have a chance to take my retal.

Thats hysteria and no logical arguments. Clearly your problem has been noted a few posts earlier. Let me quote: "poorly planning"

Rennoc you still haven't given a single logical argument to anything you've claimed. We've had dozens of conversations with hundreds of comments on this subject, and you want to be taken seriously when you don't even offer a compelling argument other than emotional whataboutisms?

We're not polling about removing CLI. The players already spoke and said they wanted it. From here, we can improve on it.

And if you want to talk about being decent and respectful, maybe try respecting the dozen conversations we've had on this subject with hundreds of comments, the hours the community has put into develop this idea - before coming in and baselessly claiming it doesn't work while not being able to offer a single logical example of how it doesn't work, with all of 4 hours experience with it.

LadyKaeleer step 1, get a Truesight on them to see what their army looks like. Step 2, send 100% of your army at them to get your castle back. Step 3, use your 24 hours of protection to rebuild.

Sorry, but saying the only way you can win is by having a pretal run for you isn't a valid argument since most players don't want pre-re. So there must be another way to win, or else nobody would be winning. The protection you get from your retal should be a big help.
