I like the ideas and CLI thing, but this will surely makes the game boring. You know the excitement when it's your turn to gang bang someone to take your retal, and the excitement when seeing the guy is totally dead, and the feeling, the frustration when this also happens to you.
I like this game because of the mixed emotions that we can let out.

So sorry, I choose no to this.

You would have a different opinion if you weren't part of one of the big alliances participating in the gang banging of people that don't have large friend groups in the game.

I do understand where your point is. This is why we have Message in game. You don't have allies, your not one of it? Then be one of it. Start looking for one. I get what you mean. As for the new comers, new players. I bet they already know the mechanics of the game before playing, sure enough they'll learn and look for one that they can depend on.

trupheus yeah it's frustrating when there's been dozens of hours of discussion on a topic, only to have some jagoffs come along without having spent more than a few minutes considering it before spouting off some illogical bullshit scenarios.

Yeah if 2 people want to perpetually circle jerk each other with CLI all game, sure why not let them, it isn't hurting anybody else. And how are they supposed to "grow to the top" when they have no armies and are constantly losing buildings from attacking each other? And for 3 months they're supposed to keep strict timing of protections? If 2 people do that commitment, they deserve whatever rank they get.

Boss Cli B is nice but........... wt if KD A is 100k and he KD B 75k.. theres only a slim chance KD
B can win against KD A cause he can retrain more... lets put Kd a and B are same races also..

But if u put buff in KD B. All training , armory , resouces and etc much better.. and Kd B also has - buff in training much better

Eri okay, now let's flip the script on your scenario - how is the 75k kd supposed to defend itself against a 100k kd who also has a buddy helping him pre-re you? Now you're double fucked... CLI would at least put you on a 1v1, where your strategy can give you a fighting chance. And the 75k kingdom gets a KS buff to help kill the 100k kd troops faster.

For the record I really don't care if CLI gets implemented or not. I only worked on it as a benefit to the majority of players who cried for a solution to an old problem.

I put prolly 70 hours into the battle engine and I'm not even going to get to use it. I'm not making any attacks next round because I don't want anyone feeling that they got cheated or abused by admins.

So whether CLI is implemented or not doesn't matter to me, I just want whatever is going to give the best user experience for the majority of players. I will defend CLI against ignorance or misinformation though, because players affected by the decision need to know what they're voting on despite the best efforts of the very players CLI is working against.

Lord Thane this is the wrong attitude my dude. If you’re going to play just play by the rules like everyone else. No harm no foul, but if you think that work on the engine has been useless that’s more of a topic of discussion with the lead. Not with the players, reasoning again goes back to what I was saying vision/direction. We can’t be changing things on a macro scale at the whim of a few comments, also why crowdsourcing and voting on ideas doesn’t really work as we’ve seen. It’s going to spit the community, the haves who get their ideas through to implementation and the have-nots who just wanted their fun oldtimey game back with some balance and maybe a well thought out fix for like one or two issues, the game had originally.

Lord Thane now u say flip the scenario.. im sure 75k cant defend the 100k with pre... but its called karma. Why he hit 100k and much bigger to him.. first place it was a suicide hitting a 100k.. hmm tired talkg english im really bad in english hahahahaha.. i wont argue anymore lolz..

Maybe if u will do cli. Mybe gave a buff when getting a retal against a bigger ks and - buff the bigger ks when defending.. same when attackng lower ks u put penalty when bottom feeding or below 75%

If you could use this strategy with CLI, why didn't you already use it when there was no CLI? It's 10X easier to use that strategy without CLI in the way.

CLI doesn't make this made up scenario easier, it makes it harder. CLI doesn't make this scenario possible, it's already currently possible.

That would be helpful. Because less incentive in a province based play. It is only possible within a province where players are well-organized or via multi. Disabling inter-province attack has been proposed many times now but i thought didn't get much popularity. It makes much more sense now with CLI.
